Triangle Collective is a group of multidisciplinary artists based in San Antonio, Texas that create art embodying the Divine Feminine. We are delighted to present our second group show, "Dakini" featuring the art of Jagwired Art, Kwanzaa Edwards, Frances Moeller, Kat Shevchenko, Maria-Jessica Alvarado and Drea Faorie. Dakini is the ancient Sanskrit word for female empowerment. Transcendent beings of energy capable of unlimited potential creation; dakinis personify the pinnacle of feminine spiritual power in this world and realms beyond. Hello All! My solo show has been rescheduled for December 7th 2018 with a First Friday opening reception. While this was a difficult decision, I believe it was ultimately for the best and allows me to fully realize the show to a more ambitous reality than I had originally concieved throughout my process. I'm truly happy to announce that I will be having my solo show this November at Provenance Gallery. The working title is "The Crux of Transformation."  I am attempting to decipher the mysterious and beautifully chaotic process of transformation, portrayed through portraiture of women with surrealistic symbols from the natural world within their psyches that are simmering beneath the surface, yet are manifesting in an alchemical reckoning of personal discovery. At times devastatingly emotional, at other times existentially retrospective, these are the journeys within that are seldom seen. I'll be creating new paintings for this, for now here is a my sketch-a possible direction?

This year was my first year to participate in Una Noche En La Gloria, Art in the Cultural Zone, an  annual arts celebration in San Antonio.   I was accepted to participate almost last minute, and I am thrilled that I did. Very grateful to be included and for the experience.  Had a lot of fun sharing my art and meeting local artists. The E.A.S.T. was a wonderful and inspiring experience.  To meet and view all the other artists spaces and to see so much uniqueness and variety was a treat.  I am very thankful to my hosts for letting me share their space and to all who came and supported the artists.  Sorry this post is kind of late. The E.A.S.T. was my last art show of 2011.  2012 is still manifesting...but I have some awesome paintings I am going to upload soon and prints to be made available in my Etsy shop---stay tuned (: !  Happy New Year to Everyone!

I was invited to exhibit my art during the East Austin Studio Tour (EAST).   East Austin Studio Tour http://www.eastaustinstudiotour.com/index.html  I will be at Scott Kentros Photography @  1603 Cedar Avenue Austin TX 78702 (number 113 on the map) There is a PDF map to download on the EAST website.   The EAST Tour hours are 11 a.m. until 6 pm on Nov. 12-13, and Nov. 19-20.   I wanted to share my set up of my paintings that I created for Art Outside:    There were many challenging technical issues that had to be dealt with as they came up-from 20 mph wind gusts that kept making my canopy collapse, to lighting problems---so thank full to our awesome neighbors that loaned me their extension cord so I could reach the power grid and light up my art! Then a deluge of rain!  Unfortunately-- I had to pack up my paintings early due to the impending storm that was on its way to the area.      The amazing encounters I had with everyone that took time to look were priceless. Seeing all the people, art and effort that goes into such a special and unique event was magical. This sculpture was amazing under the moon! My cell phone camera does not do it justice..                         ...

This past few weeks I have been working hard at creating some new works to show for the NG III exhibit.  I am delighted to be participating in.... Here is the final painting...finished. For the holiday gala. Title: "The Prisoner" oil/egg tempera on 12 x 12 canvas Depicts a dove, trapped, in a tower-wearing a inquisition styled cap a nod to Goya`s Los Caprichos etchings. Holding a tarot card of The Tower-which has many readings-Oppression,Calamity,Imprisonment...and various other disasters... Event details---> Sa n Antonio Art League Museum: Fundraising silent auction happening at their first annual holiday gala.  The cost of the event is free. The gala will be at the Radisson Hotel, 502 W. Durango Blvd, San Antonio TX (the name of the hotel is changing sometime in Dec.) December 3rd 2009 from 6 to 10pm. Hors d'oeu'vre , beer and wine complementary and cash bar will be available.
